Biography

Barry provides commentary for BBC London and Barnet World for all Barnet F.C. matches, both home and away. He was also the voice behind the commentary and narrating of the DVD for The Corporate Cup competition at The David Beckham Academy in December 2007 and again in 2008, and subsequent corporate days at the same London venue.

Barry also hosts the Liverpool F.C. podcast for Football FanCast, also helping to assemble the itinery and host their Football Commentary Experience events.

Barry first got into radio purely by chance back in the mid-nineties, covering non league matches on BBC Three Counties Radio - and he hasn't looked back since! In 2000 he turned freelance and much of the last eight years has seen Barry covering matches, and more recently providing commentary, for BBC London 94.9FM.

It is since August 2006 that Barry has been BBC London's Barnet correspondent whilst also providing online commentary. Barry has covered all 13 London football clubs for BBC London 94.9 since 2000.

In January 2008 a clip of Barry's commentary was used on BBC Five Live during their Saturday 26th January show building up to the F.A. Cup fourth round ties taking place that day. Barry has since worked again for BBC Five Live on a couple of occasions.

Barry has also covered several matches on BBC1's Final Score and has recently surpassed his 100th full match commentary.

In 2002 Barry made his national radio debut for TeamTalk Radio covering Norwich City v Stockport County. He has also done television coverage for The Footballer's Football Channel and provided full commentary for internet TV channel Red TV.
