How To Create A Footer For Your Website

A footer is a section that shows up at the bottom of each page of your site. Footers frequently display information that can help someone better navigate your site. This information is usually not considered to be important enough to place at the top of each page, so it finds it way to the bottom. Typical things you'll find in a footer are links to other pages on the website, share icons, copyright information, etc. To add elements to your footer follow these steps.

Step 1. Add whatever element you'd like to include in your footer to your page.

Step 2. Once the elements is on the page drag it to the bottom of the page and hold the shift key before dragging it into the footer. You'll notice the footer will be highlighted in green to indicate the element has been added.

Step 3. Drag and drop your element where you'd like it to be displayed within the footer. If you're adding text or links you can edit them in the same way you normally would.

If you'd ever like to remove the footer from being displayed on your site you can easily do this by going to the View option while in the page editor, and clicking to remove the checkbox next to footer. You can bring it back at anytime by doing the opposite.
